Think there must have been something going on this morning that Charlotte and I missed as it was just the two of us!!!!
Still didn't stop us from having a good workout.

Hot night suddenly turned into a windy chilly one but we stayed outside to make the most of a dry evening. Tabata was back with a few different exercises combining kettlebells and bodyweight.

Various clean position work tonight followed by breathing technique for the clean then the jerk. Continued with 3 minutes of long cycle clean and jerk with three minutes rest - 3 sets. Focus was on breathing technique and pacing. Finished with 2 minutes of racked position hold.
Also welcome to Simon to his first KBC session.







































Saturday 23/6/12

Bit of a mix today including some interval sprints followed by a get-up routine designed to work on shoulder stability and endurance. Finished with five minutes of max reps get-ups, minimum of three get-ups before changing hands.

Every set tonight you loose a minute. 6 exercises starting with 6 minutes. Working in pairs with one working while the other rests.

Tom, Charlotte and Annie started their specific long cycle training for the comp in August but this is top secret! ;-)

The KBC assault course is back! Kettlebell exercises focusing on snatch/grip work with agility, ab and chest work thrown in for fun! 20 minutes to do as many laps as possible.

Annie was optimistic with the weather this morning so started the workout outside. Unfortunately we finished it inside! Double kettlebell work in pairs with one working while the other rests. On paper it looks pretty easy but gets you winded quickly.

Shoulder and squat mobility work tonight followed by several strict press variations. Then -

Three rounds of
10x double kb strict press
10x double kb alternating renegade rows

Focus was on form not speed

Then - either jerk practice or three rounds of -

20x double kb bent over rows 10L/10R (1 arm working while other held in top position)
20x double kb push press

Grading Presentation

Kettlebell Grand Prix tonight on a triangular track. It doesn't get much more weird than that. An exercise at each corner and three ways to Carry between corners. 20 laps split between hands then 12 more laps with three different exercises. Congratulations for 60 years on the throne Queenie!
