Monday 30/7/12

This one hurt just to watch! Turned out to be a bit of a monster but still a good one none the less.
Comp team had another go at ten minutes and achieved some great results.

The olympics has begun and we continue to train hard as usual.
20 reps of a kettlebell exercise followed by a body weight exercise. What a start to the weekend!

Two 8 minute workouts tonight, the first workouts aim was to get as far up the field as possible and the second to travel the least distance possible.
Competition team continued and completed their ever more difficult workouts.

Three exercises tonight but which one hit the hardest? It starts reasonably easy but as the sumo's build so does the breathing.

A beast of a workout this morning with some welcome shade in the hall while doing the ladders of clean and press. 60 clean and press each arm in total and 6 laps of the field. Sweaty stuff!

The aim of tonight is to do three sets of each exercise with a progressively heavier weight each set. Combined the kettlebell exercises with some interesting bodyweight exercises. Good work everyone.

It's been a while since we did some ladder work so here it is. Three exercises with a focus on good technique. Aim is to work up all 10 weights and if form goes before you do then get 9 sets done up to a weight that you can manage with good technique.

The competition team continued their quest to get bigger better and stronger ;-)

Another class split tonight with some doing long cycle training and the rest doing a sticky little 20 minute session. Every time you let go of the kettlebell you have to do five burpees at the end. Also every two minutes you do 10x shoulder press no matter where you are in the round. Imaging your hands are stuck to the handles!

Please see new pricing structure below. We have slightly increased the cost of sessions as since KBC started over 2 years ago we have never increased the price. We also have rising hall rental costs so we hope the new structure is affordable especially in these difficult financial times.

You will see that the more you book in advance the better the value for money. Booking sessions in advance will also encourage you to come more often if you have already paid for the session. This will help us to keep KBC running and also more sessions will mean you get fitter! Here it is-

Pay as you go £6

Once a week for 4 weeks £22 (£2 saving, you can choose Monday, Thursday or Saturday session)

Twice a week for 4 weeks £44 (£4 saving, Choose which days you want to attend ie Monday/Thursday, Thursday/Saturday etc...)

Three times a week for 4 weeks £60 (£12 saving) 1 session can be carried over if you have a prior engagement.

Unlimited for a calendar month £65 (£13 saving, 2 sessions can be carried over if you have prior arrangements) In most months it works out to be 13 sessions per calendar month. This payment method must be paid at the start of each month.
